What is an LLC filing fee?

The LLC finding fee listed below is a one-time fee paid to the state to form your LLC.  This is a one time payment that will not be made again as long as your Limited Liability Company remains in a status of good standing.

What’s the LLC Annual Fee?

The LLC Annual fee is an ongoing fee paid to the state to keep you LLC in compliance.  This status is called good standing.  The fee is required regardless of whether your LLC is making money or not.  It’s usually paid every one or two years depending on the state that governs your specific LLC.  Failure to pay this fee will result in the dissolving of your LLC.  This is the case in nearly any state you file in.  Make sure that if you’re doing this yourself or if you’re using an LLC service that you continue to pay your annual fee to stay in business!
